Depressed? Try these natural serotonin boosters

Too many times we hear, see and experience sadness, depression, and anxiety in our society. Many suffer terribly with these maladies and I wish I could help each and everyone…even if it’s only one soul that finds a smile in nature to ease some of their sorrow.

More and more these days, plants are finding a medicinal purpose in our lives, people like natural cures rather than subjecting themselves to harsh man-made chemicals and pills.

Essential oils like Citrus oils are happy and bright. I’ve written a lot on the subject of

depression, anxiety and how nature’s gifts can help with these issues.

Be sure to read this first if you’re new to using essential oils.

I also found another great checklist of nature’s seratonin boosters.. See this one for more on the subject.   increase seratonin with these natural remedies

And try these essential oil blends to brighten your life:

..💖Love was created by ROCKY MOUNTAIN OILS... it’s such a joyful scent and is reminiscent of my YELLOWSTAR ESSENTIALS blend, though mine has the addition of Roman chamomile, and Tunisian neroli …wearing it or inhaling  it brings back memories of being loved, being held, and sharing loving times and feelings.  💖
It’s very calming and helps overcome depression. This blend will help you deal with stress and other nervous conditions. Use when you are treating anxiety and overwhelming negative emotions. It especially helps you forgive others.💖
It also helps you overcome grief and let go of negative experiences. When there is overwhelming grief, the adenoids and the adrenals shut down, this blend may help open these glands so you can get control of the grief instead of it controlling you.

💖Scent:  Love has a soothing, subtle scent to it, with fruity overtones and warm undertones that make you smile.

💖Ingredients: Essential oils of: Lemon, Orange, Geranium, Bergamot, Red Mandarin, Ylang Ylang Extra, and Turkish Rose, Roman Chamomile and Tunisian Neroli  in a base of Fractionated Coconut Oil.

💖Caution: This blend contains photosensitive oils (may cause dark spots on the skin if the applied area is exposed to the direct sunlight). So stay out of sunlight for 2-3 hours after application.
Contains 66% Fractionated Coconut Oil (FCO).

Sometimes things break – irreparably. And it takes your breath away …

Good Morning beautiful!

After reading this potent blog post, I just had to share it, today….immediately.

Stunning. Powerful. Moving.

Sometimes, often really, things break – irreparably. And it takes your breath away … straight away.

Sometimes things break. Sometimes we break them. It’s not the breaking that matters, the how or why. What matters is how we choose to respond to the broken-ness. Does it kill us? Does it throw us into a downward spiral of blame and punishment?

Do yourself a favor, whether you’re a parent or not, and read this blog post.

You won’t regret it.

I promise.

February love and all about Aromatherapy as an Aphrodisiac ; Essential Oil Recipes for Love

Happy February!

My favorite month, and not just because it’s my birthday month, or because of Valentine’s Day, but because it’s all about my favorite subject….LOVE!!

I thought I’d share with you another one of my orphaned articles from Yahoo. This one’s all about aromatherapy and it’s effects and uses for aphrodisiacs and special libido recipes for you and your favorite person.

About aromatherapy and the libido

Aromatherapy has, over the centuries, been used for countless purposes, including aiding the mind, body and spirit to heal, as well as having calming effects, and even help with beauty, and even love. But for many ancient cultures almost every one has well documented effects of flowers and their distilled oils on the human libido, and aphrodisiac aromatherapy is part of their makeup. From the ancient Egyptians, Romans, Aztecs and Sumerians come the passed down romantic helpers of jasmine, peppermint, lilies, neroli, sunflowers, and of course, roses. ginger plantLogan Pearsall Smith pointed out in the late 1800s that flowers are the sex organ of the plant and flowers are actually the sexual representation of the plant. Hmmmm, no sexual innuendos there.

Most aphrodisiac oils send messages to relax peripheral nervous energy and instead concentrate that energy for stimulation of the sexual centers. Certain odors provoke strong desires by increasing sex hormones within us. Aromas can also calm the nervous system, thus reducing stress and tension and releasing more energy for enjoyable pursuits such as sex. Below are listed of some of the better known aphrodisiac essential oils that can be diffused for a sexy atmosphere, or added to a bath for the ultimate luxury spa experience.  Also, a perfect way to get things going in the bedroom is by Massaging your partner with these oils (in a carrier oil) is also an incredibly sensual way of creating a loving space with guaranteed results, always!

I agree with this aromatherapy as aphrodisiac blog— it says,

“In order to raise our libido, we have to first raise our body temperature. The aphrodisiac essential oils are mostly warm, rich aromas, such as those that come from spices and certain flowers. Aphrodisiac aromatherapy can be tricky. It may take calculation. What one person loves, another might find ghastly, but on a very basic level aromatherapy is a natural aphrodisiac that works to calm, soothe, stimulate and reduce stress, or negative energy. Because impotence and frigidity is most often associated with stress, emotion and psychology, plants that work to calm and soothe while actively stimulating hormonal production and reducing stress and anxiety are key elements in an active and healthy sex life. Flower aromas can have strong psychedelic effect if not used appropriately but in moderation it is mild and aids in sexual health by improving the mental and physical aspect of the one smelling it. Some flowers though can have both an aphrodisiac effect through its aroma and/or via its connotation with lust, beauty, and pleasure.”

Aphrodisiac Aromatherapy Recipe Blends:

Aphrodisia Blend:

  • 4 drops Jasmine Absolute,
  • 4 drops Ylang Ylang essential oil
  • 3 drops Rose Otto,
  • 4 drops Sandalwood,
  • 3 drops neroli
  • 2 drops Ginger,
  • 2 drops Nutmeg

Add to 4 ounces of jojoba oil, or sunflower seed oil for a sexy massage oil. Your lover won’t know what hit them when you rub this tantalizing oil all over them.

Sexy For Her:

  • 4 drops Jasmine
  • 3 drops Sandalwood
  • 2 drops Patchouli
  • 4 drops of Ylang Ylang extra
  • 3 drops of Rose otto or absolute
  • 3 drops neroli
  • 3 drops vanilla absolute

Add this to 4 ounces of carrier oil, such as jojoba, fractionated coconut oil, or sunflower oil, or even a mixture of each. This can be used as a perfume or massage oil.

Or you can make a solid perfume. This recipe for a beautiful solid perfume is made of beeswax and jojoba wax. Once you learn to make the base, you can add any essential oils you like to create your own blends. Have fun!

Sexy For Him;

  • 7 drops of Atlas Cedarwood essential oil
  • 6 drops of Sandalwood essential oil
  • 2 drops of Patchouli essential oil
  • 3 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 4 drops of Lavender essential oil
  • 3 drops ginger essential oil

Add this to 4 ounces of carrier oil, such as jojoba, fractionated coconut oil, or sunflower oil, or even a mixture of each. Makes a gorgeous massage oil just for him.

Hot & Sexy Rub

  • 3-4 drops cinnamon essential oil
  • 1 drop clove essential oil *optional
  • 2 drops peppermint essential oil
  • 1 drop ginger
  • 1-2 drops jasmine or rose essential oil
  • 3-4 drops vanilla absolute

This blend is absolutely lick-able! Add this to 2-4 ounces of organic coconut oil and massage the body. Be very careful as cinnamon essential oil is VERY hot, so you may want to try adding more carrier ( coconut oil ) to the blend to tone it down if it’s too hot for you. Also, please note that if you are going to ingest any of these oils make sure to use only pure, high grade essential oils as others may be harmful and very dangerous! And if this blend doesn’t work to spice things up in the bedroom, then I’m sorry to say your lover must be dead. Maybe invest in some electro-shock therapy, or if all else fails try Viagra! 😛

Warming Bath

  • 2 drops Vanilla, Benzoin or Sandalwood essential oil
  • 2 drops Ginger essential oil
  • 4 drops Sweet Orange essential oil

Add these 8 drops of essential oils directly to a warm (or hot if you prefer) bath and disperse well – or blend with 1 TBLS sunflower, jojoba, grapeseed oil and/or 1-2 TBLS unscented bubble bath and add to a warm bath. Soak in the bath for 15-20 minutes inhaling the vapors. Do not get bath water in your eyes as it will sting. This spa treatment is especially excellent for winter time or when you have been suffering from a sickness, cold or chills.

Or start out with a Valentine’s cocktail: I found this one at 365 cocktails

Here is the recipe for a Chocolate Whipped Cherry:

1 ounce chocolate whipped vodka1 ounce cherry vodka1 1/2 ounces Godiva Chocolate Liqueur1/2 ounce cherry juice (from the jar of maraschino cherries)

If you wanted to get a little creative, take chocolate syrup and create a design in a martini glass (mine was a heart and you can see the longer it took me to take the photos, the more it started to drip to the bottom, lol).  Stick your glass in the freezer to allow the chocolate to harden enough so that it won’t run as soon as you pour the cocktail in (10ish minutes).

In a shaker, add ice and all of the ingredients above.  Shake and strain into your chilled martini glass.

Here is a photo of the end result:

Places to buy essential oils:

I’m sure you’ve heard that there is a difference in essential oils, and yes there is. Usually the higher price, the better the oil, but that’s not always the case. Do your own research about the company you want to purchase from and make sure they offer some kind of data sheet on each individual oil they sell. Many will try to fool you by diluting them and calling them ‘pure’, but as I mentioned, please do your own detective work, and you’ll be happier with your purchases.  Here are a few I trust:

Mountain Rose Herbs : Mountain Rose has tons of great organic ingredients, and are a well respected company in the organic and natural products arena.

Bella Mira ; If you love Young Living Oils or are a Young Living Distributor try Bella Mira therapeutic grade essential oils .. test for yourself the difference…you will receive a discounted price if you are already a distributor w/YL.

Young Living Oils – Young Living is a world renown company that sells very high quality therapeutic grade essential oils and supplements. Tho’ they are expensive, they are worth it. If you would like to receive a discount on therapeutic grade essential oils try checking out my friends’ Young Living oils page.
I hope you find many uses for these aromatherapy aphrodisiac blends, and I hope you love with all your heart, and in return have someone to share all your heart with.

And be sure to try these luscious Valentines’ Day Dinner for Two recipes, along with this and you’ll most definitely have some super sexy results guaranteed!!! 😛

Real Love Has No Opposite

Happy February!!

Just in time for the month of love….This beautiful post is a must read…….

Here’s a clip:

God is Love. Human beings were created from Love, in the image and likeness of Love. The world unfortunately turned away from Love Without Opposite and love became conditional, painful, hurtful, unsafe and so distorted that it is barely recognizable. The Source of Love, the Most High, our Creator, sent Love to earth to manifest in a human being to show us what Love really was. Those who were trying to use love to manipulate, control and receive secondary gain (give to get) tried to discredit Love and eventually killed Love so they could continue using love to for selfish gain at the expense of the human race.

Essential Oils’ Effects on Water Crystal formations

Everything is made of energy.

Love and Gratitude energy are healing vibrations that can have deep effects on other energies. The power of thought, intention, and focusing a loving energy can create a healing environment for any living thing.

From a Chinese scientist comes proof of healing energies on water crystal formation. Read more about him on Hado.com.

When water samples are bombarded with heavy metal music or labeled with negative words, or when negative thoughts and emotions are focused intentionally upon them, the water does not form crystals at all and displays chaotic, fragmented structures.

When water is treated with aromatic floral oils (Essential Oils), the water crystals tend to mimic the shape of the original flower.

At left, water crystals were exposed to aromatic essence of chamomile.

When Elvis Presley’s “Heartbreak Hotel” was played to water, the resulting frozen crystals were split in two!

Of great interest for healing and everyday well being is the extreme effect upon water crystals of negative words and ideas. When the words “Adolph Hitler” were taped to a bottle of distilled water, the results seen at left were obtained.
Here, you can see the results of taping the words “You Fool” to a container of distilled water. Interestingly, the pattern made by “You Fool” was almost identical to the pattern that emerged when heavy metal music was played. Masaru Emoto wonders in his book whether perhaps heavy metal musicians look upon people as fools.
Another instructive set of pictures showed the amazing difference between the crystalline patterns evoked by the words “Let’s do it” and the patterns produced by “Do it!” The encouraging “Let’s do it” crystals were like beautiful snowflakes. The demanding “Do it!” water did not crystallize at all. Excerpts taken from:  from: http://www.spiritofmaat.com/archive/aug1/consciouswater.html
