Get Pretty Feet for Summer with These Homemade Feet Treats Recipes for Beautiful Feet

Read on  to find out how to take simple ingredients and transform those dry heels into touchable tootsies that are soft enough to play footsie with your honey anytime.

First thing after getting home from work, take off those shoes and soak those tired tootsies in a hot foot bath with a few drops of peppermint essential oil. Peppermint is tops on the list of essential oils to use for feet as it not only cools, but refreshes and eliminates any kooties that may be clinging to your skin.

Even better, if you have the time, would be to make a salt soak for them!

peppy feet salt soak

1/2 cup or 4 oz of epsom salts
1 1/2 tsp. or about 8ml of grapeseed, sweet almond, olive or carrier oil of your choice

Best Essential Oils for Insect Bites and Natural Insect Repellent Recipe

Warmer weather brings out the insects, and no one enjoys the stings and bites from these critters, so here are a few natural remedies and recipes for mosquitoes, biting flies, gnats/no-see-ums, and ant bites, as well  as a great natural insect repellent recipe.

There are too many dangerous chemicals included in most of the over-the-counter repellents and remedies for insect bites, and since more and more people are choosing natural-sourced ingredients, I’ve put together the best recipes and remedies in one place so you won’t have to look any further than here.
Get specific medical information about the active ingredients in repellents and other pesticides by calling the National Pesticide Information Center (NPIC) at 1-800-858-7378. NPIC operates from 6:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Pacific Time),9:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (Eastern Time), 7 days a week. The NPIC Web site is: http://npic.orst.edu/ .

Catnip Essential Oil, Nepeta cataria, is from the mint family and has been used in folk medicine to help relieve headaches, migraines, cramps and fever. It is known as Catmint in the UK. Recently, Catnip Essential Oil has been studied for its unparalleled effectiveness in repelling mosquitoes and other insects.

Make your own nearly all-natural insect repellent:

Using a 4 oz. bottle with sprayer top, combine:

10 drops Lemon Eucalyptus,

5 drops Geranium,

5 drops Catnip

5 drops Cedarwood Virginia ,

5-10 drops of lavender,

Mix with a teaspoon of fractionated coconut oil, or any carrier of your choice into 1.5 oz. high proof alcohol, and fill with purified water. Essential oils do not stay dispersed in water or alcohol. Be sure that you shake well before each use and discontinue use immediately if irritation occurs.  Polysorbate 20 can be used to help keep the essential oils emulsified if you choose.

This can be sprayed on skin, clothing, furniture, outdoor equipment, etc. Must be reapplied often.  Be careful of using on certain fabrics.

A myriad of places offer these ingredients, choose wisely as many disreputable companies will dilute essential oils to save money.

Wow!

I am extremely humbled and honored that one of my clients has given me such a lovely gift.

Thank you Kayla for your dear heart, and your kind words….

you have totally made my day!!!

Here’s what she sent,

Anyway, let me give you my testimonial first. I know there’s no hurry for this, but Candice, you’ve been such a darling and a big help to me and you really deserve some good feedbacks  I’ll still let you know how everything else is going but here you go:

It was such a great pleasure to work with Candice. She has been the most helpful from the very beginning by understanding life and health conditions as well as assessing your needs. She takes on a holistic approach in helping the client and giving the most appropriate suggestions. The eczema blend is wonderful as it helps in cooling down the “angry” inflammations; the release/opening synergy aids in releasing all your frustrations and keeps worry at bay; the muscle relief blend eases the aches in the muscles without being a pain to your olfactory senses; the blue dolphins blend brings one clarity and focus and it’s great for meditation; the detox blend helps in eliminating water retention for the lower body; and of course, your beautifully made custom blends are really working for my mother and for the family! Candice is one of the best AromaTHERAPIST (she really is one great therapist) out there and her compassion and her willingness to explore and experiment what is the best for the client will sure give her clients the results they want. Five stars to you Candice!

Love and Light
